Meet our founder

Kavya Jain is the founder of Saraswatya Yoga and a yoga educator based in Delhi, India. Her journey into yoga began not in a studio, but while travelling across India after graduation, a search that eventually led her to the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala in 2019. There, she spent two months living as a Karma Yogi, immersing herself in the discipline of traditional Hatha Yoga and the study of the Bhagavad Gītā.

Testimonials

"I started practicing yoga with Kavya on the recommendation of a friend. Before that, I had very little exposure to yoga and wasn’t quite sure what to expect.

Kavya has a very gentle and thoughtful approach to the practice. I initially came to yoga with concerns around lower back pain and weight loss, and over time, we have worked on both of those areas and so much more. She has a keen eye for posture and is always able to modify the practice based on what my body needs and what feels right for me that day.

What I especially appreciate is how well she reads the room, even through a screen. On days when I’m low on energy, she somehow senses it and adapts the practice, sometimes guiding me through a more restorative session instead.

I honestly don’t think this kind of personalised experience would have been possible in a group class. Having that one-on-one attention has made all the difference to my practice."
